Since 1997, we’ve been compiling a Pittsburgh Photo Calendar that we send to our far-flung family and friends to share some of the things we’ve seen in our daily lives and adventures in this city. Now that many people don’t use paper calendars, some of our usual recipients have asked to see the photos online instead. So here they are! (This is not the first time our calendar, which is supposed to be a Christmas present, hasn’t been ready until sometime in January, sigh!)

January: Frick Park

February: rotunda of The Pennsylvanian, framing Penn Station on the East Busway

March: Schenley Park

April: Phipps Conservatory

May: Point State Park and West End Bridge

June: view of South Side, Birmingham Bridge, and beyond from Yard Way, South Side Slopes

July: Shady Avenue, Squirrel Hill

August: Forbes Quadrangle, University of Pittsburgh

September: Schenley Park

October: Edible Schoolyard at Colfax K-8 School

November: view of Station Square, Monongahela River, Downtown, and beyond from Grandview Avenue, Mount Washington

December: Schenley Park
Why not explore more of Pittsburgh in 2024? It’s a very pleasant part of Earth!
We will wait patiently for the printed calendar edition.
Love, Jay
I never knew Pittsburgh is so lovely!
