I’ve been very busy this year so far, but I’ve been reading anyway! Here is a hasty iPad photo of the wonderful stack of books I received for Christmas, all of which I expect to read and review over the next few months. [UPDATE: I added links to the reviews when I posted them.]
- Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, translated by Dorothy Britton
- Little Altars Everywhere by Rebecca Wells
- The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson, translated by Rod Bradbury
- The Word Exchange by Alena Graedon
- The Dance of Anger by Harriet G. Lerner
- Shadows in the Twilight by Henning Mankell, translated by Laurie Thompson
- Cut Me Loose by Leah Vincent
- My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman, translated by Henning Koch
- The Girl Next Door by Ruth Rendell
- The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton
- The Natural House Book by David Pearson
I’ve already read three of them and parts of two others! Can you guess which ones? Which would you read first?
Having new-to-me books to read works for me! Stay tuned for reviews, coming soon! Meanwhile, visit the Quick Lit linkup for other writers’ book reviews!
I didn’t get any books for Christmas this year. I don’t know if I should be sad or relieved because I have so many!
Mmmm that’s a good variety of books. I think I would be going for the Fredrik Backman one and The Secret Keeper because who doesn’t love a secret. Looking forward to the reviews. Visiting from Works For Me Wednesday Link Party
The Secret Keeper is the one I read first! 🙂
